To all Cub Rotario Los Barriles members and friends of Rotary,
Hi everyone,
It's hard to believe that it’s been over 2 months since our "changing of the pins" ceremony and many of our members have headed up north for the summer. This Sunday, June 30th, brings to a close Jean'e and her boards’ 2018-2019 leadership role. Thanks again to Chris Geyer, Chris Scurr, Josefina Ruiz, Tom Brogan, Leigh-Ann Cameron, and Mike Koehn for all your hard work and accomplishments this past year. The numerous projects you completed have done so much for our community, you and the Club should be proud!
On Monday July 1st, the new board Mike and Elaine, Chris G, Francis, Ian, Jean’e, John, Bob, Josefina, Chris S, (and Alma who will be leading Interact) will take over leadership roles for 2019-2020. Thanks for your commitment to make the upcoming year one that will live up to our new annual slogan "Rotary Connects the World".
Before we begin, I would like to clear up a few housekeeping issues for the summer:
* Summer meetings: Josefina (our President elect for 2020-2021) has agreed to lead the summer meetings for me in my absence. Due to the upcoming Interact Canada trip, the next membership meeting will be a social at Tio Pablo’s on July 4th at 6 pm (celebrate that Gringo holiday). There will be no meeting, just some kind of fun.
* A meeting schedule for the next Rotary year will be sent out in the next few weeks. It will have all dates, times, and events (subject to change of course) which should help you plan for the future.
For those of you not in the East Cape area now, I’m looking forward to seeing you in the Fall.

A todos los miembros y amigos de Club Rotario Los Barriles,
Hola a todos,
Es difícil creer que ya pasaron dos meses desde nuestra ceremonia de “cambio de pines” y que ya muchos de nuestros miembros se han adelantado al norte para pasar el verano. Este Domingo, 30 de Junio , trae el cierre del papel de liderazgo que asumieron Jean’e y su mesa en 2018-2019. Gracias otra vez a Chris Geyer, Chris Scurr, Josefina Ruiz, Tom Brogan, Leigh-Ann Cameron, y Mike Koehn por todo su duro trabajo y logros durante este año. Los numerosos proyectos que completaron han hecho mucho por nuestra comunidad, ustedes y el Club deben de estar orgullosos!
El Lunes 1ro de Julio, la nueva mesa: Mike y Elaine, Chris G., Francis, Ian, Jean’e, John , Bob, Josefina, Chris S., (y Alma quien estará liderando interact) asumirán los roles de liderazgo para 2019-2020. Gracias por su compromiso de hacer del próximo año uno que represente nuestro nuevo slogan anual “el Rotario Conecta al Mundo”.
Antes de que empecemos, me gustaría aclarar algunos asuntos para el verano:
* Reuniones de Verano: Josefina (nuestra presidente electa para 2020-2021) ha aceptado dirigir las juntas de verano durante mi ausencia. Debido al próximo viaje a Canadá del Interact, la siguiente reunión será social en el restaurante Tio Pablo’s el día 04 de Julio a las 6:00 pm (Celebrando el día Gringo). No habrá junta, solo algo de diversión.
* Se enviará una agenda de reuniones del próximo año durante las siguientes semanas. Tendrá todas las fechas, horarios y eventos (sujetos a cambios por supuesto), la cual les ayudará a planear en futuro.
Para aquellos ustedes que no están en el área de Cabo del Este ahora, anhelo verlos en el otoño.
